Ingredients for DIY Ant Killing Solution:
1 part white vinegar
1 part water
A few drops of dish soap
Optional: Peppermint essential oil or citrus peels (for added deterrent effect)

In a spray bottle, combine equal parts white vinegar and water. The acidic nature of vinegar helps disrupt the ants’ scent trails and repels them from entering your home.
Add a few drops of dish soap to the vinegar and water mixture. The dish soap helps break down the ants’ waxy outer coating, making them more susceptible to the vinegar solution.
If desired, you can also add a few drops of peppermint essential oil or place citrus peels in the spray bottle to enhance the deterrent effect. Ants are repelled by the strong scents of peppermint and citrus.
