2 cans of refrigerated crescent rolls
1 can (21 oz) of pie filling (any flavor you prefer)
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 rectangles, pressing the perforations together to seal.
Lay the dough rectangles out on a greased baking sheet.
Spoon a generous amount of pie filling down the center of each rectangle.
Fold the long edges of the dough over the filling, overlapping slightly, and pinch the ends to seal.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the danishes are golden brown.
While the danishes are baking, mix together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create a glaze.
Allow the danishes to cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over the top.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Variations & Tips
Feel free to experiment with different pie fillings—cherry, apple, blueberry, or even lemon curd can be delightful. For a more decadent version, try adding a cream cheese layer under the pie filling. To do this, mix 4 ounces of softened cream cheese with 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, then spread this mixture on the dough before adding the pie filling on top. You can also sprinkle some coarse sugar or slivered almonds on top before baking for an added crunch.
