Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken: A Decadent and Flavorful Dish

Season the Chicken:
Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
Cook the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Garlic:
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until it becomes fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Make the Cream Sauce:
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine with the garlic.
Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low.
Add Parmesan and Seasonings:
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
Continue to simmer, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
Add Spinach (Optional):
If using fresh spinach, stir it into the sauce and cook until it wilts, about 2-3 minutes.
Return the Chicken to the Skillet:
Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, nestling them into the creamy sauce.
Spoon some of the sauce over the chicken to coat it.
Simmer:
Allow the chicken to simmer in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes, ensuring it is well-coated and heated through.
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for garnish.
Serve the creamy garlic Parmesan chicken hot, with the sauce spooned generously over the top.
Serving Suggestions
Side Dishes: This dish pairs beautifully with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes to soak up the creamy sauce. For a lighter option, serve with steamed vegetables or a fresh green salad.
Bread: Serve with crusty bread or garlic bread to dip into the luscious sauce.
Tips for Success
Chicken Thickness: For even cooking, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness before seasoning.
Sauce Consistency: If the sauce is too thick, add a bit more chicken broth or cream. If it’s too thin, simmer a little longer to reduce.
Flavor Boost: Add a splash of white wine to the sauce before simmering for extra depth of flavor
