Ingredients
To prepare this natural remedy, you will need:
2 ripe Bananas
1 tablespoon of Honey
400 ml (about 1.7 cups) of Water
Preparation Steps
1. Prepare the Bananas
Peel the bananas and mash them thoroughly until you achieve a smooth, lump-free consistency. Ripe bananas are ideal for this recipe as they are sweeter and easier to mash.
2. Boil the Water
In a medium-sized pot, bring the water to a boil. Once it reaches a rolling boil, remove it from the heat.
3. Combine Bananas and Water
Add the mashed bananas to the hot water. Stir well to ensure the bananas are fully mixed into the water.
4. Let It Cool
Allow the banana-water mixture to cool for about 15-20 minutes. This cooling period helps to release the beneficial properties of the bananas into the water.
5. Add Honey
Once the mixture has cooled but is still slightly warm (not hot), add the tablespoon of honey. Stir thoroughly until the honey is completely dissolved. Remember not to add honey to boiling water as it can destroy some of its beneficial properties.
6. Store and Use
Pour the banana and honey syrup into a clean, airtight jar. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
