12 slider buns
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried parsley for garnish
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and lay the bottoms in a baking dish.
3. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with the ranch dressing and crumbled bacon.
4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bun bottoms.
5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chicken mixture.
6. Place the top halves of the buns onto the sliders.
7. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush this mixture over the tops of the buns.
8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
9. Sprinkle dried parsley over the top for garnish before serving.
Variations & Tips
For a zesty twist, add a spoonful of diced jalapeños to the chicken mixture, or swap the ranch dressing for a barbecue sauce if you fancy a smokier flavor. For those who enjoy a bit of extra crunch, adding a layer of crispy fried onions under the cheese before baking is just delightful. And of course, for my vegetarian friends, replacing chicken with a seasoned mixture of mashed chickpeas can make a delightful alternative.
